Thanks. Hope I don't need it but feel better knowing that. Do love the car though.

Hi All,

NEW vehicle is having shudder/judder at 13-32 miles per hour, usually on an incline but not necessarily. I am not a mechanic but it will shudder - like driving over a rutted road at times. Feels to me like it doesn’t know what gear to use. Doesn’t happen all the time but it happens every time I drive it. With the turbo there is some lag time before it kicks in and I wonder if the transmission is confused on what gear to use. Just my thought. Anyone else having any issues?

It’s going in for a minimum 5 day service next week. This concerns me, obviously.

My wife and I made a lease for a 2024 Santa Fe Limited, we closed the deal on June 1, 20024 and on June 14, 2024 we took it to the dealer due to transmission problems, today is July 1st, it has been at the dealer for 17 days and They tell me that the transmission is in Back order, and they give us no hope of when they will fix it.
We are going to proceed with the Lemon Law, or at least have a lawyer involved in the case, we have already paid the first month of lease and we do not have our Santa Fe

I too leased a 2024 Santa Fe Limited on May 20th. No issues yet with 1300 miles. Could you give further explanation about the symptoms you experienced with the transmission. I feel like it's just a matter of time before I have the problem.

Well, 247 miles and I had to get my 2024 Santa Calligraphy towed in. I was in drive and sitting at a light. I pressed the gas pedal and it wouldn’t go anywhere. Just like it was in neutral. It finally slammed into gear and it felt like I got hit. I made it down the road to park and it was stuck in neutral with lights blinking sayijg shifter system malfunction! Service immediately. Called day and they are replacing transmission and TCU module. Waiting on time line and will review my case on what to do.

In my case it started with a funny noise like something was loose in the engine, I took it to the dealer and it was the transmission.
Today it has been at the dealer for 19 days, and They told me that the transmission to replace is in Back Order, what can I say, it feels very helpless to buy a new car and this happens.

Hyundai has a recall #263 on these transmissions. It seems there are certain conditions where the computer will put the transmission into "Park" when it should not be. Imagine having your car go into park while traveling down the highway. Thats whats been going on with the 2024 Santa Fe DCT's. The fix is a software update.

Just now catching up on all this Ugh. My wife complained about the car being slightly sluggish a couple of times when first driving in the morning and then this morning she started the car and there was a loud noise and the engine stopped, started it back up and seemed fine but now Im doing all this research.
My 2024 Calligraphy did exactly this when I went out for lunch today and started the car to go back to work. Did you ever take the car in to get it looked at and if so, any solutions?
