Where do you find the number for the lemon law? I want to return my Santa Fe Limited as transmission failure along with other hybrid unit needs to be replaced as won't power the battery. I loved the look of the car and some of the technology but sounds like the software is a problem with the new Santa Fe as well.
Call the Hyundai customer care line. I found it on Google. They sound super helpful, but then mine was denied without further explanation. Trying again, hoping I don’t need to hire a lawyer. ‘24 hybrid calligraphy broke down twice in first month but they say it’s a wire that keeps coming loose. Only fix is to plug it back in and pray it doesn’t happen a third time.

Hi All,

NEW vehicle is having shudder/judder at 13-32 miles per hour, usually on an incline but not necessarily. I am not a mechanic but it will shudder - like driving over a rutted road at times. Feels to me like it doesn’t know what gear to use. Doesn’t happen all the time but it happens every time I drive it. With the turbo there is some lag time before it kicks in and I wonder if the transmission is confused on what gear to use. Just my thought. Anyone else having any issues?

It’s going in for a minimum 5 day service next week. This concerns me, obviously.

M
I had the same problem!
Field tech diagnosed it as the engine clutch!
It happened to me the first time the gas engine would kick in when I first start the car!

The 2024 HYundai Santa Fe Hybrids use the same

You wont have any issues to post about! Enjoy the new luxury Hybrid from Hyundai. You bought the best!
Took delivery 2025 Santa Fe Limited Hybrid on 5/10/25. In the shop 6/3/25 and again on 6/25. It's still there today, 7/29/25. Hybrid system issues?/ transmission?/ wiring harness?/ Just started a Lemon Law suit and buy back process. Very sad. Love the vehicle the few times it worked properly. Good luck to all.

I agree that is very sad. Wish you the best outcome!

After 5 weeks, "loose pin on wiring harness addressed". Backing the vehicle into the driveway coming home, now the brake lights and taillights/blinkers flashing and doing whatever it wants. Caught on our security camera. Electrical issues, hoping no catastrophic vehicle problems like a fire in our future. Back the dealer.....

2025 Cali. I think I have the issue. Just a little hesitation and slight jerking but infrequently. I dont want the dealer to replace the transmission as I know the dealer will not get it right. I hope it holds out until the 2026 model comes out as Hyundai is putting a regular transmission, not a CVT. I will get another Cali. If it gets worse before that I will trade it in on some other manufacturer. This is depressing and we should not be dealing with this on a new vehicle. Shame on Hyundai.

Is your Cali a hybrid or an ice? Mine was a hybrid and it was the wiring harnesses, engine/transmission. Both in the engine bay and inside cabin. They bought it back. So sad, really liked the car.:(

Hyundai uses the 8 speed DCT (dual clutch transmission) in the Santa Fe. And they have had so many issues with it they are no longer going to use it. They do use a type of CVT in some of their cars but they call it an IVT.

Brake lights flashing and turn signals alternating blinking without beng turned on. My 2025 is demonic. 😩
