Hi All,

NEW vehicle is having shudder/judder at 13-32 miles per hour, usually on an incline but not necessarily. I am not a mechanic but it will shudder - like driving over a rutted road at times. Feels to me like it doesn’t know what gear to use. Doesn’t happen all the time but it happens every time I drive it. With the turbo there is some lag time before it kicks in and I wonder if the transmission is confused on what gear to use. Just my thought. Anyone else having any issues?

It’s going in for a minimum 5 day service next week. This concerns me, obviously.

I had mine for 18 days , huge hole in the transmission now .. gonna end up being recalled !!

I’m shocked it’s SW related. The other case I saw they replaced the whole transmission. Mine went in today.
I am having to have the transmission replaced after only driving it for 18 days . It’s looking like at 1000 miles, the trans is blowing out completely! Came to a dead stop in the middle of the road, really scary !

Just now catching up on all this Ugh. My wife complained about the car being slightly sluggish a couple of times when first driving in the morning and then this morning she started the car and there was a loud noise and the engine stopped, started it back up and seemed fine but now Im doing all this research.

Anyone got the Hybrid version and having Transmission issues?
I have the 2024 hybrid. Same problem but worse. Took it in for 8 days. Tech felt it test driving but system couldn’t record an issue. They returned it to me after 8 days and nothing being done. Seemed ok for a few days then sputtered up a hill and the entire infotainment center went white and no longer works. It’s back at dealership. Bought 5 weeks ago and it’s been in the shop for 2 weeks. They can’t get a new infotainment center. Contacted lawyer and looks like might have to pursue lemon law. I could be at over 6 RPMs and can’t accelerate, it sputters on bi and small hills, it gets stuck in gas mode on big down hills and sometimes even when at a stop despite battery being fully charged. So disappointed in this experience. Would not recommend anyone buy this vehicle.

We bought a 2024 AWD Calligraphy in April, it started developing the exact same symptoms as mentioned above. Took it into St. Charles Hyundai in Missouri - it needs a new transmission! Only 2,800 miles on it, and there’s already somebody else ahead of us in line at the dealer for a new one as well!

My 2024 Limited is running fine with only 1100 miles on it. Nervous though with all the reports of DCT breakdowns. Are they offering you a loaner while the car is in for repair? My concern is it's our only car.
Yes, we were given a fully loaded Kona on the spot, getting a Palisade tomorrow for the remainder of the wait - est 3-8 weeks.
