The LED headlamps are really intense... I am not sure fogs would really be necessary... I had them on the 2015 and not sure I really miss them TBO.
I’m sure you’re right and I haven’t driven the new car in any conditions where I’d really need them but what I liked about the old car’s fog lights was that they illuminated a very wide angle of view. This was very useful in my neighbourhood where there are far too many deer feeding on the grass verges at night.

I could modify the fog lamp as cornering lamps and was very useful in city/street low speed conditions.
They used to illuminate closer and wider area compared to the headlamps.
Also I have applied Lamin-X yellow tints and they looked nice with DRLs.

True that I have not really used it for real fog situations.

We are on the same boat

I'm going to Plasti-dip it mat black. Most cost effective way for me. The masking is going to take some time and need to cover the internals to avoid over-sprays. It's not going to be as nice looking as a factory, but it will do.

For best quality, You can always get the dark finished grille from calligraphy (with the camera opening) and switch it with the chrome one. Need to remove the full fascia for installation.

I also looked at eBay grille options and custom mesh grills. But looks too crude in my opinion.

I don't think vinyl wrap is an option, due to the complicated grille pattern.
A few days ago I saw a chrome delete option that involved placing black caps on each of the "teeth" (for lack of a better descriptor) of the grille pattern, but I can't find it again. It looks like an intriguing possibility. I searched again but cannot find it. Has anyone heard of this, or tried it?

I have seen these type of pre cut wraps for other parts for our vehicle. But nothing for the front chrome grille patterns you are referring to.

They are available for other vehicles as a stick on caps in limited numbers. Like the three colored stripes for BMW.

If you come across the correct ones for Santa Fe, do share.

Have you seen these? "Drop Stops" - car seat gap fillers. I bought some when we first got the car after reading some stories of people getting their hands stuck down the sides of Santa Fe seats while trying to retrieve things they've dropped. They work very well.

That is crazy. There are similar products at much lower prices on amazon.ca though.
Those are nice, I will look out for any deals coming up on similar products.

I feel the gap between seat and console is not as big as some other cars. May be also the reason why people gets their hands stuck there.

I have not yet lost anything in there. But I have lost lot of things, including my credit card there, in other cars. I get them back later, when I clean the floor mats.

The price on USA Amazon for the originals in $25.

DIY: AVAS Sound Reduction
Cost: 5$ for the 3M tape
Time: 2 hours (you need patience for this one)

I was little embarrassed by the Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) sound the hybrids/EVs produced, especially when reverse is engaged.
At the same time I recognize why it is in place, So I decided to do a stick-on solution, to bring down the decibel levels.

1. Preparation with packing material

2. Final installation is stealth

3. Before and after sound levels

I don't trust the sound reading from the app much. But there is a noticeable difference from the inside and outside.
I was able to get the decibels down from 'loud music' levels to 'conversation' levels.

Not happy about the 3M tape quality and the cover might fall off at higher speeds.
After evaluating this for some time, I might screw it down to the box.
Can't see your images! :(

Have you thought about replacing the red plastic strip between the two tail lights with a red glowing strip so that one the headlights are on or maybe even as a rear daytime running light?

I have only thought about giving the rear reflectors a smoked look. Mostly a vinyl sticker over them.
There are lot of options out there for what you were referring to on eBay and Amazon.

But since its doesn't add much function, I am reluctant to do electrical modifications.
I would rather add a front fog lamp, if I can do it without splicing any wires.
Since the Hybrid's 12V battery is in the back, sometimes it adds to the wiring complications.

Are you going to power the fog lights by splicing into the parking lights? Or a separate switch?

A fuse tap with separate switch will be ideal way to go. If anything goes wrong, it should stop with a blown fuse. Splicing is a risky move in my books, especially on a hybrid.

Hmmm, don't know if it is because I added only thumbnails first.
Added full images. Thank you.
still can't see them - am I missing something?

I used black duct tape on mine - nothing fancy, took me about 5m and it reduced the noise a bit (compared to my FIL's Elantra). I'd say muffled, not muted.

I think it’s an issue with the forum software. I’m on several other forums that I think use the same software and I don’t see recent images on them either.

But other forums are just fine so I don’t think it’s my devices - iPad, iPhone, Win 11 PC and laptop.

Agree.

I don't know what's the issue either. I tried multiple ways and it shows uploaded for me. Even when I try from another device, it shows as broken image. Hope the website fixes it.

I used 3M tape and some sound absorbing packaging material (kind of styrofoam) on the top to muffle it a bit more.
