Did anyone had an issue with Active Air Flap system? My 2024 Sante Fe Hybrid Calligraphy had an error on dashboard with DTC for powertrain issue. Took it to Dealership where they found one of the front flag was not closing and they said the wiring needs replacement as it got damaged by the water. It is now 3 weeks and they have no answer on ETA. Currently, I have 5 Active DTC code as per my Bluelink as they troubleshoot. Car is only 1500miles/2 months. Also, received the email saying your battery is below normal level. I am losing my trust with dealership and hyundai.

Update: Dealership is still waiting on Hyundai engineers to find a solution for this. Possible re-design or new placement for the box that holds the wiring for Air Flap system. This is turning out be quite known issue so they are working on solution in factory. My car is now sitting in lot till indefinite time now :(

I've had the same problem. I was getting a "check active air flap system" that would come and go and finally a check engine alert. First I was told that it would be ready the next day or two, then they delayed and said they were waiting on the engineers to come from Hyundai to look at it. Then they told me they had to replace the engine harness. I've been getting the run around from the service department. They've had my vehicle (less than 3K miles on it) for about a month. Very discouraging

I have a 2025 Santa Fe. Had check engine light, active air flap malfunction message, no blower fan, and no power windows. Dropped at the dealership on 4/18/25. After 2 weeks, they told me it was a blown fuse block, but the fuse blocks were on back order. On 5/14/25, I was told fuse block arrived. On 5/15/25, I was told fuse block was installed and the wanted to keep car and test drive for another day or two. On 5/17/25, I received a call to say car was running fine and was ready to be picked up. I asked if they found the cause of the blown fuse block. They said no. I picked the car up on 5/17/25. And surprise, surprise, on 5/20/25, the check engine light came back on, with the active air flap malfunction message, no blower fan, and yes, no power windows. Today, 5/21/25, I just dropped car back at the dealership. So they had it for 29 days and figured out nothing. Let's see what happens this time.

Not the same, but my wife’s Altima has powered shutters to control air flow to the radiator and a rock must of hit it and damaged it. Initially the dealer said it wasn’t covered, but a year later a different manager, same dealer, ordered a new one. I see this is an issue with Nissans, and I hope my Santa Fe doesn’t experience a similar incident. I too don’t see that they are really necessary.
