This webcam is intriguing. Its chief claim to fame is that it almost seems OEM because of the way it integrates into the rearview mirror area. Not only is it hidden, it is supposedly very easy to install as it uses the connections leading to the mirror.
The quality of the camera itself does not seem to be all that exceptional. No better than just about any other decent webcam. FITCAMX, a Chinese company, sells similar versions to a host of different vehicles, many of which are luxury models. If you can believe the Amazon reviews, the whole line of webcams by this company are popular with users.
There are several options offering different resolutions or other extras. The cost of just the front-facing camera and the mounting gear costs around $200. There's an app, too.
I'm not advocating for these -- I am interested in maybe getting it for myself. Sadly, every time I use the built in surround cameras, I wonder why Hyundai didn't just set them up for use as dash cams.
A quick search of this forum yielded no info on this product. So, if you have any information on it, I'd live to hear your thoughts.
