On Thursday I went beyond my multiple test drives of the SF Limited and pulled the trigger. I got the blue one (Stormy Sea, or something like that) with AWD and 2.5T. I'm really liking it so far. It's quicker than the Sorento I had with the V6.

I was at the dealer for about three hours. Could have been worse I guess. The car was just delivered to the dealer on Wednesday evening so it needed a bit of prep. All of the paperwork was done on a large flat screen that was the guy's desk top. When we were done I was given a thumb drive instead of a wad of papers. How times have changed.

One question I have is about oil. I have not been able to find in the owners manual about oil specifications. Like the capacity or weight of the oil. I did find on the filler cap 0W-30 for the weight, but why can't I find that information in the manual? I've looked several time and can't seem to find it. If you know where in the manual the oil specifics are, please let me know.

Thanks for any help and I look forward to reading and sharing information on the Santa Fe.

It is 0W-30 indeed. If it says on the oil cap, that's what it is. I personally use Mobil1 0/30 AFE, and did it earlier than usual (884 miles), since I was leaving on a long trip. And installed a magnetic drain plug at the same time. Did the 2nd at 6,790, and sitting at 8,300 now. This reminds me I need to buy more filters. Congrats man.

It is there, obviously, but don't remember where. Look at capacities and specs. But it is 0/30. The oil cap will NEVER be wrong, and that's what it says. There could be other alternatives in the manual, but the cap states the recommended viscosity.

Congratulations and you made an excellent choice. The 0w-30 cap is under the plastic cover which is easy to remove. Book says Quaker State but not available yet. I use Mobile 1 Full Synthetic 0w-30 which you can buy at Walmart and take to dealer. Lots of bells and whistles on this car and takes time to learn everything. Good luck and happy for you.
