New to the forum and came here to add to this thread and post that unfortunately, I too have joined the transmission needs replacing club on my new 2024 Santa Fe Calligraphy! I bought my new vehicle on Friday, June 7, 2024, drove it for 11 days (only put 300-ish miles on it) and experienced my first transmission issue one week in. (a huge "clunk" from the rear of the car when coming out of reverse and shifting into drive while in a parking lot) I experienced my next issue two days later. (another huge "clunk" while in reverse coming out of my garage, where the car acted as if I hit something and completely shut down where every warning light/sound went off until I was finally able to turn the car back on after a minute or so) After the second incident, my vehicle was never the same and the transmission clicked and clacked so loudly it caught the attention of people and cars all around me. I took it into the dealership the next morning, Tuesday, June 18, 2024 and I have not seen it since. A week or so later I was told I need a new transmission and now two months later I have zero update on when I might actually have my car back and dealing with the dealership has been a communication nightmare since day one. I am now about 3 weeks into working with Hyundai Corporate on my case and I am also in the midst of working with my state's Division of Consumer Affairs to invoke the lemon law. I am new to the Hyundai family and seriously regretting my decision and just want out my deal. I am so incredibly frustrated for ALL of us dealing with these Transmission issues!
