Subwoofer install on Santa Fe

I am trying to install a subwoofer in the trunk and tap wire into the left rear door speaker for signal. I have the base 6 speaker sound system. Is anyone here did the same and experience any signal issues for the subwoofer?

I read another thread in the Elantra section, and since our speaker setup is very front staged, the rear speaker doesn't have strong enough or full range signal for the subwoofer, is this the same with the Santa Fe?

Update: I installed a powered sub, get signal from both rear two channels (6 speaker system). And I have no problem with low frequency signal.

Adding my 2 cents here....I did my 2023, You have to understand the stock system has bass rolloff, big time! As the volume goes higher, the amp turns the bass signal lower. We have to defeat that. I installed an LC2pro under my seat and a powered sub under the passenger seat. wire runs were so easy!!

Thanks for the information. I build the sub for SQ(sound quality), so the amount of bass from the stock head unit is perfect for me. But yea if you want to feel the bass from your chest, then a LC2 convert is needed.

Im a old school rock guy. Not rap. The bass fill is really nice with the LC2

Looking to tap into the back sub mount as well. I also have the base 6 speaker option. I'm pretty novice when it comes to car audio+wiring. Just curious what sub you used for this and if you could give me any tips/pics for how you did it I'd greatly appreciate it!
