We have a 2013 Santa Fe Sport 2.4L, intermittently neither fob will unlock or lock the doors and we also get the fob not detected message when we start it by pushing the button wth the fob. It hasn't been working for the past week so I connected my solus edge scan tool to it and it couldn't communicate with the smart key module, after I removed and reinstalled smart key 1 fuse everything worked fine for a little while. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was your solution?

Have you tried replacing the battery in the fob? I found that the fob battery in my 2015 would not last all that long... the range for locking the car kept decreasing... almost to the point where I had to be right beside the car to get it to lock with the fob. Replacing the battery helped.

Yes, both fobs have new batteries and when the problem happens neither fob will work

Maybe the dealer can re-program them? I am not sure....

The problem isn't with the fobs, the smart key module just isn't detecting them or communicating with any of the other modules in the car until you pull the fuse and put it back in to reset it
