I have a 2004 Santa Fe with the small 6 cyl engine. Whenever I refuel (fill up the gas tank) the vehicle does not want to start. I have to give it half or more peddle of gas and hold it there to get the vehicle to start. If I take my foot off the gas at all the engine dies. This situation lasts for about 3-4 minutes. After that everything is normal. This situation only happens immediately after I fill the tank, any other time the vehicle starts up fine. Anyone have any Ideas as to what i can do to fix this problem or what may be causing it?

Hi js80, I'm new to the forum and just wanted to let you know that my 2005 Santa Fe does this also. As an added bonus , mine will not shut off - even with the key removed! Only happens after refueling. Does yours do this also? Jst wondering if connected(?)?
