Comparing my Toyota Avalon light output/projection compared to my wife's Santa Fe, her headlights do a poor job illuminating the road. Is this a design issue? Bulbs in wrong? Need better bulbs?

Headlights

My fiance has a 2010 and I was not happy with the light output. It is probably due to a combination of the projector spreading the light and the halogen bulb not putting out a good amount of light. I replaced hers with HID's and now the output is amazing. I also got her matching LED fog lights and she lights up the road better than some newer vehicles out there. Hope this helps!

ZZ, may seem obvious but have a good look at the lens condition. These plastic lenses tend to form a layer of oxidization and that will cut back on brightness. Sometimes, it is in patches and not really noticeably unless you look closely. Mine were oxidized (dull) and I used a plastic headlamp cleaner to clean them up. Worked well.
