Hello, we have a 2005 2.0ltr diesel CRTD that now has 83,000 miles. New clutch fitted by previous owners at 45,000 miles.
Recently the thrust bearing has started to rattle, if you depress the clutch pedal the noise stops. Clutch does not slip and vehicle performance is first class, even when towing the caravan.
Has anyone had / heard of this issue before?
Can the thrust bearing be replaced without removing the engine and/or gearbox?
Will we need to replace the complete clutch ?
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
