Hi All,
So after owning a Chrysler Laser, a Ford Escort, a 2wd Dodge Dakota, a GMC Jimmy and 3 Chevy Camaro's, I now own a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. I have been a staunch domestic car brand only person my whole life. Ironically, after stopping in a Hyundai dealership to look at a 2012 GMC Envoy, they talked me into looking at 3 Santa Fe's that I didn't really even give much of a look-over because I wanted V6 power and 4wd. Just before leaving, the salesman drives up in a silver 2011 Santa Fe Limited that finally got my attention to Hyundai. I was impressed with the V6 power and all wheel drive system, 18" wheels, power everything, sunroof, auto nav, Bluetooth and the styling inside and out. Totally not what I expected from Hyundai and the older ones I've been in. It came in off a lease and had under 60k on the clock. It's been a very solid and smooth running vehicle thus far. So far, I've done a tranny fluid flush and refill, cabin air filter, AEM dry flow performance air filter, a gator back serpentine belt and idler pulley (found during belt replacement) and fuel system cleaner. Lucas power steering fluid stabilizer and Redline water wetter treatment. I'm going to have the A/C system checked and topped off if needed for this summer. The only thing I do not like are the Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires that were installed by the previous owner before he turned it in. I know they are an all season tire but the tread pattern seems very tame and looks more like a summer touring tire. They were not all that great in the snow. I was hoping to get something a little more aggressive as far as the tread pattern.
But so far, love the vehicle!
