Hi there! Just picked up my SFS on Friday, and now - 2 days later - am having a moderate case of Buyer's Remorse. Joined here to (hopefully) ease that! Salesman was talking and showing me things during the test drive, so I didn't notice the SEVERE wind noise coming from the driver's window. Also when I commented on the rough ride, salesman told me it was the road. I had a 2011 Sonata and loved it. Seats on this SFS seem skimpy and don't come far enough down toward my knees. Am I just being a pick-wad? Anyone have any comments about that wind noise? I have other questions, too, but that's probably enough to start! LOL Thank you!

I bought my Santa Fe Sport 2.0T in May of this year. Just got back from driving from Virginia to Texas roundtrip. Car is absolutely awesome! No wind noise. Just smooth steady rolling at 70-75mph while getting over 27 mpg fully loaded with THULE roof rack box. Seats were comfortable and the adjustable power lumbar support was perfect. I am 6' 3" tall and have plenty of room once seat and steering wheel adjustments are made for me. No rough ride for my SFS. Have owned over 30 new cars and this is first one at this price ($30,000) that has fully met my expectations. I have a paid a lot more and got a lot less. For sure, when I test drove them, the Santa Fe Sport felt and acted a lot different than the Santa Fe Sport 2.0T. That is why I bought the SFS 2.0T. Good Luck!!! I am one happy camper!!!

I'm surprised by the fact you are hearing a lot of wind noise, because this is the quietest vehicle I've owned. Only when I'm north of 75 mph do I hear anything resembling wind noise, and it's very faint; with the radio on, it's gone. It soaks up bumps too, so the rough ride thing is also surprising. I haven't done a long trip yet, but I've spent all day behind the wheel around town and it never hurts to sit in these seats for long periods of time. Perhaps you got a Friday at closing time build.

I have a 2.4L front drive with the panorama moonroof, so if any one should be noisy it's mine, and it's ultra quiet. Hope you can get some satisfaction with it.

I've got the sport 2.4 also and it has some wind noise on the right edge of the windshield. When we brought it in for the first service, we had them check it out and they said it was a normal sound. Or is pretty quiet and that's why the wind noise stands out.

We love the car otherwise. Very comfortable with lots of seat adjustments. Very good on lower when you turn off the Eco mode.

sent from my nexus using stupid autoguide.com app :(

I have a 2014 2.0T AWD Sport. When shopping test drove one which seemed to have a lot of wind noise. The one we bought was quiet and when I asked why the difference was told that the body at the end of the windshield can have insulation (soundproofing) put into it or not. Salesman said the one we test drove must not have been filled with the soundproofing. Ask at your dealership. They told me if there was a problem to bring it in and they would add some if necessary.

I feel for anyone experiencing wind noise of rough ride of any sort . . but fortunately this seems to be very rare for the Santa Fe. This post has over 2,600 views and only 5 replies some indicating this is the quietest and smoothest riding vehicle ever owned . . I know mine is. i look forward to hearing the outcome from working with your dealer.

The 17" wheels/tires should be the smoothest of all because of the cushion effect of the taller tire. Sounds like a damaged tire or wheel or wheel balance problem to me. Your dealer or any good tire shop will likely fix the problem quickly and easily.
