Hello all!

My wife and I picked up a 2015 Santa Fe yesterday in Norman. We have been contemplating this for about a year and finally did the deal. Have not driven it much as the weather is terrible here this weekend. We like the car so far and the economy coming home was significantly better than the Traverse that was traded.

I am a member on several other forums, primarily for F150 enthusiasts, and have found them very useful for years. Any suggestions or warning are much appreciated as this is our first Hyundai.

Hi Justin,
I am an owner of Santa Fe for only 3 days so far, but its been good so far.
my history with Hyundai is a 12 Genesis, which we both loved, but it was a lease, which was at term.

We decided we needed a bigger grocery hauler as we take care of a 2 yr old grandson, so this was a logical step for us.

I, too have had many different vehicles over the years and the gennie was a great leap forward for us, great performance luxury for the price. Excellent value, but the deprecistion kept us from keeping it.

If it Is a car im keeping for 4 years, I have a pretty good idea shes gonna be around 20 percent or less at trade in time, so as an investment , its like any other vehicle, not a good ROI, but plenty of satisfied smiles.

We had a few bugs in our car, but it was fixed under warranty and she charged like a son of a gun, I mean moved... we took good care of her and I really do miss her, just not miss her enough to take a 5k hit on buying at end of lease.

But, I do miss her.

The GLS Ultimate, isnt a bad one either, mom says its a soccer mom car, which gets me every time I hear it, but mom is smiling more each day now, so although it isn't as sleek as gennie, shes got good genes.

I wish the american automakers would get their proverbial head out of dark recesses, but the bean counters have given such lousy bang for the buck, that the market was and is ripe for the taking. Why pay an extra 10k for the same you have here. I didnt.

Hyundai puts out a good product and doesn't mind copying the others.
I looked at the gauge pod and its almost a knock off of a mercedes 320 (?) Suv dash.
I guess im a little happy with mine..so there, yes.
enjoy yours too.

Lovin it!

:grin so far this car is great! It was really the wife's decision. She was in a 2011 Traverse LT2. Also a nice ride. Little bigger than we needed and the mpg was TERRIBLE! In town was 12-13, hey was 16-18. Might get 19.5 downhill with a talewind. So it had to go. She loves this car and the options it has. I love the value and bang for buck. Time will tell.
