Hi All,

We just purchased a 21 Santa Fe Luxury Hybrid and take delivery next week. So excited! Here in Canada, the Luxury trim is the only one available for the Hybrid.

We had initially wanted to order a 23 Tucson plug-in hybrid but the wait was going to be 10-12 months and we couldn't wait that long, so after many days of searching most Hyundai dealers here in Ontario, Canada, we simply lucked out with the Santa Fe. We had gone to a dealership with the intention to lease a Kona for a few years, to tide us over until we could buy either a plug-in hybrid or the Ioniq 5 without having to wait for a year. Fate had different plans for us!

I have the 21 Luxury Hybrid, so mine is going to be a fair bit different than yours in terms of equipment and options. Also, it’s a Hybrid with a completely different powertrain.

Having said all that, I am very happy with it. It’s got a smooth, quiet ride. Fantastic gas mileage and doesn’t feel underpowered. I love all the safety tech too.

Rear seat legroom is amazing. The cargo area is surprisingly large as well.

Thank you for your response and I am happy to hear the vehicle is holding up. One of the features that brought me to the Sante Fe is the rear cargo space. Which I need for my mountain dog. I am looking forward to getting mine. The warranty looks to be a solid one. I also added the running boards and roof rack. I wanted to the XRT look which they don't sell this model in Canada. So I customized mine to replicate it. I got confirmation that I am 54 in line and it will be built in May 2022 and I take possession Jun 19. Can't wait.

Well here is one for all of you who have Hybrid Santa Fe 2021 vehicle. We had brought in car for seatbelt recall and oil change. Well technician who did work for seatbelt didn’t attach added strap in place. This strap about 1 ft long and was supposed to be placed on left side of seat to be secured. Well another problem occurred shortly after and engine light came on. Brought in to dealer and they checked it over and said all seemed okay and theybgot engine light to go off. Asked service dept about this strap and they thought it was odd but said that is way Hyundai wants it. Got caught under my husbands thigh and he tried to put out. Well it hit the window and cracked windshield. They were called and finally after no response my husband went in to them. My granddaughter had been in vehicle when this happened. The service manager said there was nothing could be done. He never saw seatbelt not put in place correctly. Next manager above him saw my husband. Heard his story . Got someone from glass company to look at. Quick look and said it occurred outside. This manager was one to put seatbelt strap into side of seat. Now he should have realized problem with seatbelt strap and install. My husband was told that was it and my husband asked him are you calling me a liar. Reply was yes! Hyundai Canada called and basically supported dealer service department.
Now back to engine light back on and they were supposed to consult on problem after vehicle checked out and didn’t have a solution. Well today we were driving short distance away and all of a sudden lost power on acceleration. We pulled over and turned car off and started again driving. Shortly again had same thing happen. We got home and phoned service department to address as yet no call regarding service engine light and loss of power today. Call at 11:30 am and the person who was given our problem never called at 2:30 pm. Well at 2:30 we called service department. The vehicle had all symbols light up dashboard and vehicle stopped. Vehicle has been towed to service department presently. Now how do you like this story. Love vehicle but not too happy right now and this service department.

A very very shady service department. I would be promptly taking the car to another dealer to get it fixed.
