The car intermittently will turn over but not start, sometimes 6 attempts are required. The dealer admits there is a problem but cant find what it is after two years.

As well as this the Fuel pump failed and the battery has suddenly gone completely flat 3 times and the dealer wants to charge me for a new battery even though the car has a fault which they are aware of.
They suggested I, "left the door open or the lights on", (3 times?) even though its impossible to leave any lights on in the car door open or not, the computer turns everything off to prevent that.

Four breakdowns in two years and the dealer is still not taking the fault seriously or attempting to do anything about it. I should have bought the Kluger.

Where are you located? It sounds like a highly unusual issue . . and a terrible dealer . . you have been unusually unfortunate to encounter that combination!

Thanks Bobski, Coffs Harbour,
Yes I was in an invidious position as the fault would not replicate when the car was at the dealership and the Diagnostic device did not detect it, to be fair they cannot fix what they cant find. However since the car had a service record of the battery repetitively dying and I had asked for all the details to be recorded in the service log, which they were not, it could have been handled better.

Happy Ending: The gods smiled on me yesterday and the Santa refused to start when the lead mechanic tried to move it out of the service shop and finally they admitted there was an "Issue".

They are replacing the Computer and Battery at no cost other than the inconvenience of not having a car Three times. A loaner was not offered so I will get a Taxi to hospital on Monday for my chemotherapy.

I'm a nerd and have read the Owner's manual Three times and it became obvious during this episode that I knew a lot more about my car than anybody at the service centre did. Don't these young guys do Hyundai training courses?
One guy tried to tell me that if you left the lights on and didnt lock the car they would not switch off!?

You can see the video 5 posts down.
I don't really wish I bought the Kluger because I do like my Highlander for so many reasons, especially the big seats. Thanks for you're interest.
