Well for me I just purchased one recently. It was rather low mileage with meticulous records of maintenance and looks not far from new. So for a fraction of a new one I have what I think is a pretty nice Santa Fe to use.
I did drive the 3rd gen, and would have been happy if I found a good deal on one of those. I did like that in the 2012 Limited I could get the V6 while still the shorter two row version. The 3rd gen only has a V6 in the nearly one foot longer 3 row version. Only 4 cylinders in the Santa Fe Sports.
yea my old '02 (145k mls) has the V6 and the new one '18sport (14k mls) has the 4. I no longer tow but that V6 and 4 are worlds apart, it's amazing how quiet and smooth the V6 is and the 4 is OK 90% of the time but has some eccentricities with the trannys they use and it's aggravating. You have to drive it, it doesn't drive you like the old V6. But the trade off is the MPG. What are you considering buying?
