I have a 2011 Santa Fe Limited (towing pckg included). I've contacted some local shops who are going to charge over 800$ to install 7way wiring and a brake controller. I think I can do the 7way on my own (crossing fingers) and am considering buying the Curt Echo bluetooth brake controller. I will be towing a tent pop-up trailer with gross weight of 2600lbs and has trailer brakes.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the Curt Echo, or experience wiring the 7-way on their own. I would love to hear from you thanks.
If I decide not to go with the Echo, I am also looking at the Curt Spectrum.
Thanks for your input.

I would definitely go with that Curt brake controller. I know a couple of people that use them.

The uninformed will try to talk you out of it saying that if you lose Bluetooth, you lose braking. This, of course, is not the case as the controller keeps all settings locally.

What s also nice about the controller is that it can be used with multiple vehicles with that same trailer.

I'm contemplating whether anybody has insight with the Curt Echo, or experience wiring the 7-way all alone. I couldn't want anything more than to hear from you much appreciated.
