LOL. So..I have a Bluelink question. Recently my wife and I purchased a 23 Santa Fe Luxury hybrid. For those in the US, the Luxury model up here is sort of a cross between the SEL and the Limited available in the USA. Our model has MOST of the Limited features but not all - so odd omissions but I digress....the Joy of bizarre packaging based on country etc.
Anyway, back on point. I was setting up bluelink (ugh what a process that was), and noticed the following grid on the Bluelink site for Canada:
Rectangle Font Slope Parallel Pattern

The features highlighted are not available on my Bluelink for some reason, so I have reached out to Bluelink to ask why. They told me it was a configuration item that has to be enabled / disabled at the dealer so they passed the cased down to them. I took the car to the dealer and after an hour or so, came up and told me that no, this is not set at the dealer but set at the factory... so they have been in contact with Hyundai Corporate. The last call I received from the dealer was last night where they told me that their research points to this being a USA only feature and not a Canadian feature (SMH), but they are still investigating. As it stands now, all I can do for a remote start with blue link is set the cabin temp, enable the front and or rear defrosters, and turn on the heated steering wheel. That is it.

So for those who have the HEV or Calligraphy in the US, are these features available to you with your Bluelink subscription? Any Canadians out there experiencing what I am experiencing? Cheers.

I believe our options in the US are the same as what you describe. Here is what I have available against our '22 Hybrid Limited.

INTERESTING! I may share this information with my dealership... might get more insight on what is supposed to be or not supposed to be... The listing in the grid I provided was actually the same in 2022... but apparently someone is not being truthful somewhere :)

I know there are definitely other regions in the world where the Bluelink implementation includes the ability to set seat heating/cooling for those models that have those options.

My dealer reached out to me yesterday and now state the issue, according to Hyundai Technical Support, is an internal software glitch on the head unit. It was suggested they order and replace the head unit on my car. We shall see what happens…

There certainly seems to be a disconnect between hyundai and bluelink. I am assuming these are totally separate from one another as they seem quite disconnected pushing the blame back and fourth. It seems obvious that someone messed up…whether it was the marketing people who listed the features available for each car…or the software team not turning on the set switches per region…who knows.

They are becoming too smart ...I wonder when they'll start charging you for the 'privilege' of using various BlueLink options on a monthly subscription basis as is now the norm for certain BMW and Mercedes models...

So an update…. The dealer replaced the head unit on the car, but i am still waiting on bluelink to updated the USIM and IMEI numbers that are now new to the vin on my car. Without that update, the car still thinks the old hardware is installed and the missing features are still missing. So the head unit was i stalled on Wednesday…and I am still waiting for Bluelink to make these updates. I reached put with an email today…if i get no response by Monday i will call again.
