I was approaching the SFS the other night, (with my wife going to the passenger side), when all of the sudden, the door handles 'lit up'......

She said:...How did you do that?.....

VERY cool....

Who else discovered something neat about their SFS?

I found out the Santa Fe "alerts" me with a little sign on the instrument panel that my wheels are not in the straight position when parked.

Yes, a neat 'perk'...that little symbol has saved me from getting 'curb rash' more than once...:eek:opssign:
Ah, so that's what warning is for. I thought something was wrong with the power steering. That's neat. The handles lighting up is a nice touch, I saw that the second day though (we drive early in the morning a lot).

Was washing mine the other day and had the front doors open and looked at the front of the driver and passenger door openings near the front fenders door sills and could see the sound proofing materials in the openings. Just like them fancy European boys who sell 'em for $80,000/each.

Just discovered another feature...

While re-fueling yesterday, I noticed that on the back side of the fuel door there`s a little bracket that holds the filler cap, rather than letting it 'dangle' and possibly scratching the paint finish..

Pretty neat...:goodidea:
I like when you get low on gas, the navigation system asks if you want to go to the nearest gas station. While I usually tell it no, it's nice that the engineers have integrated the systems in the car together so well.

And speaking of the gas cap, that whole single click thing takes time to get used to, I always feel like I didn't get it closed enough.
You can open the fuel door manually, if the switch near the front door handle fails to work. Simply open up the hidden compartment in the cargo area near the location of the fuel door and pull on the string:D
I discovered this before 9,000 miles, but still thought I`d mention it:

It`s cool that when you just lightly touch the directional control, it flashes 3 times and stops...Eliminates the possibility of forgetting to turn it off after you change lanes...:(

(Drives me nuts to follow a car for miles, with his blinker on)
I just found out that the headrest on my 2014 Santa fe GLS can be adjusted not only up & down but also front and back. Nice touch for someone who drives 35K mi/year. Great attention to detail.
Wife and I will be towing a light weight travel trailer. We used to have a Tahoe which had a button to change the shift points when towing. Should I just leave this in D and let the 6 speed figure itself out or use the manual gear placement? I also like the big trans fluid cooler.

Have this on my 2007 Silverado 2500HD and I use it all the time for changing lanes, etc. Can this feature on the Santa Fe be re-programmed to blink 5 times?
Its got 1 GB in-built memory which one can filled-up thru USB to store thousands of songs in it forever and don't have the hassle to either carry or to leave plugged in, a pen drive for this purpose.

This I found out just last week after few weeks of owning a Santa Fe.

While mine is a Indian Santa Fe, but I see no reason why any there Santa Fe will not have this 1 GB in-built memory.

Hope its helpful to all!
If I have the fan on high it will lower the fan speed automatically if I get on a phone call via blue tooth (to reduce the noise). Pretty neat feature.
