A new Santa Fe Hybrid owner

Just joined the forum. We just took delivery of our new Santa Fe Hybrid. We traded our ‘22 Tucson 2.5 because we wanted a larger interior with real functional buttons instead of the capacitive points on the Tucson.
So far, we are loving the Santa Fe!

We got ours in February and though its not driven a lot yet (the other car is now beater status), we do love it when we get it out.

Primary thing I miss over the Tucson is the speed limit offset and ability to read speed limit signs. I like the layout much better in the Santa Fe for sure.

Yeah, our salesperson says it can show it, the screen says I should see it, but nothing so far. Going to see the dealer to try and resolve it.

Gauge cluster will show speed limits, but it's from navigation system only. The camera won't read them live on a Santa Fe. Consequently, no speed limit offset.
The speed limit signed are what is programmed into the maps system of the navigation. So you can enable the feature in the nav settings to show the speed limit on the nav screen. as mentioned, its not a live speed limit sign reading system

yeh, so far, all I can get is the speed limit sign on the NAV screen as you mentioned. We had the sign always on the drivers info screen ( on the Tucson ), whether we were using the NAV or not. Waiting for a call back from our dealer if its on this model or not.

Just curious, are you on the Tucson Forum too? Name looks familiar.

Yes, you and I have the same names in both forums.

Unfortunately, the Santa Fe is not capable of that same awesome feature of the Tucson. It's a travesty, really, but I've learned to cope.

To be clear, there is indeed a setting to have speed limit show up on the gauge cluster. It just is solely from the nav system and not from a camera. I don't remember where the setting is, but if I remember to look when I head home from work I will post the menu options to select. It's in the vehicle settings menu somewhere.

I appreciate it. We’ll be stopping by the dealer next to see if the can adjust. Might even look to buy a new car ( NOT!! ). I’ll watch your posts if you find something. Thanks

Vehicle->cluster->content selection->traffic signs

Is that on the driver info screen or the main entertainment/navigation center screen?

That's for the gauge cluster\driver information.

FYI 31.1mpg on second tank, which I would say was 50\50 city\highway. Gauge estimate is 2.3mpg high so far.

We have about 400 mules in our SFso far. Many local driving and we’re at 34.5 mpg. We’ll see if that holds up for the next 500 miles.
Thanks again for the DID information. I’ll give it a try tomorrow.
Found the way to display speed limit on the DID. Voila!

Was it not the directions I gave? I swear I wrote them down correctly.

Glad you got it!

Yup, that’s what got me over the hump. You start setup in the DID, then switch to the center screen to check mark the speed limit display for the DID. I was amazed how buried is was in the menu. As a driver aid, it should be a lot easier to set up.
