Yes, the app suggests the same for the hybrid as well
Service every 3k miles if you have repeated shot travel.

But Hyundai will only cover the 8000 mile/ 1 yearly service as complimentary. Rest is on the owner.
I'm planning to do mine at 6 months (I doubt I'll hit 4k by then). I'll see if my extended maintenance plan make any difference.

The owners manual for 23 Hybrid says the following. (2.5T OM might be different)
So in my case (Driving condition A - repeated short distance driving) I don't need to Replace engine oil and filter every 3000 miles.
I only need to keep an eye on the spark plugs and Need to change the Auto Transmission Fluid every 62k miles
Only ATF inspection is needed for Normal service condition vehicles.

I was a bit worried, since the extended maintenance contract (8Y/96k Miles) I took covers only 8k normal service.
This is the information from Hyundai customer service and I'm yet to talk with my Dealer about it.

I would say take an informed decision on early oil changes, based on your use case and judgement.
But for 95% of the people, stick to Hyundai OM recommended service intervals.
