Can someone explain what this does. I've read the manual. TWICE...

I KNOW what a wi-fi hotspot is in MY world. It's either one of my cell phones or my Mi-fi, that when configured and/or turned on, provide a network onto which I can log a tablet or laptop, and access the internet to transfer and/or display data or browse. If that IS what the Santa Fe is doing, can someone tell me, in simple, idiot-proof words, HOW to get it to BE a hotspot onto which I can log a tablet or laptop and access the Internet?

If it's NOT, what on earth IS IT, and what functionality would it provide me? So FAR, the only thing I've found is that the CAR will connect to my LAN when sitting in the driveway, which is utterly worthless in terms of being a "hotspot" since I can ALREADY do that directly from the tablet or laptop... So what is this thing doing?

It certainly doesn't work how I expected, either. I hooked the car up to my wifi at home but beyond that, haven't used it. Seems counterintuitive . . .
