My last SUV is CRV AWD and I need a bigger one now. Santa is my first choice. local dealers give me two options. GLS AWD $30003 and Limited 2WD $31783.0. I saw some shared prices by others in autopriceshare are lower than mine(around $1000). However, I am feel OK with these two deals.
Personally, I prefer the limited 2WD and it has more options. In my city, it snows several days one year and I am not sure whether 2WD could handle it. Someone here may have driven Santa 2WD in snow before. Do I need to prepare snow chains for 2WD? Is 2WD version good enough to handle the snow situation? Thanks in advance

How long does the snow last and how deep is it?

By the way . . adding your location city etc. will help to get you better answers :)

Seattle gets enough rain that the AWD is the right choice . . better stability on slippery wet roads.

I am from Everett just north of Seattle, I to opted for the AWD due to the weather around here. Seattle is hit/miss for snow, some times we get lots and it stays around for a week, average snow depth in Everett is usually 4-6 inches. The ice under the snow is what really makes it difficult to drive in.
