So, towing 1200kg caravan regularly and at 40K service on auto trans, tech tells me fluid has been hot. Trans seems to be working ok and no faults on scan. Now has oil cooler fitted.
Question is can I use an OBD2 module to show live feed of trans oil temp, I am fairly sure the trans has a temp sensor buried in its works. Would love to hear from anyone who has done this, which module/dongle and preferred software etc on android phone. I have already cooked a trans in earlier Santa Fe, really do not want that again.
