My service engine light came on a few days ago. The fault code is "Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance" on my OBD II gadget. I'll be very grateful if anyone here can explain what that means and how to go about fixing this problem. Thanks!

Call me crazy...as I'm sure some/many will......but this sounds like one of those things that would cost 10 times as much to repair as the likelyhood that it would EVER be used.

Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor?

Hard to imagine it would ever be a factor unless you're doing or GOING to do a lot of towing.
Failing that, I'd just be sure to change the oil in your tranny ONCE (in your lifetime).....and you're probably good for the life of the vehicle. (i.e. 200,000 miles)
