Good morning everyone,

New on the forum. Have little experience with maintaining cars but technically minded. My parents have 2008 Santa Fe with close to 160k miles. It wasn’t really maintained well beside the oil changes. About 3 weeks ago the car started jerking when you stop and the shift is in Drive mode. Jerking is little and doesn’t affect the movement of the car. I asked some more experienced people around and I was told it could be a lot of things including transmission. I was advised to put a liquid mixture into the fuel tank which helps to clean fuel lines and in general with injectors. I followed the advice and it didn’t help. As time passed the symptoms progressed. Now it jerks during parking mode and driving. One thing I noticed driving or parking uphill and downhill affects it both in a good and a bad way. Has anyone experienced this before? What else could it be? Can the transmission fluid level cause this?

Thank you in advance.
