Need to get the transaxle fluid changed in my '02 SantaFe, 138k miles, runs like it was in showroom yesterday so don't want to do this wrong. Don't want flush and fill just drain and refill. Dealer wants $175, backyard shop will do it for $75, Firestone didn't know what they do (figures) but... here's the question... owners manual sys use only Hyundai ATF or Diamond ATF SP-III or SK ATFSP-III. I'm waiting for dealer to return my VM to see if they use the genuine Hyundai ATF, the backyard shop uses only a generic ATF. Videos on U-Tube I see say using incorrect fluid will ruin the trany due to the material they're made from. Anyone have experience with this? The car runs so great I don't want this to be its downfall.:laugh
